The session is please to announce that beginning January 1, 2007, our new Interim Pastor will be the Rev. Martha Murchison, who comes to us from the Dallas, Texas area.

Martha has most impressive credentials.  She is currently finishing a three-year appointment as Interim Pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church in Greenville, Texas.   From 2001-2004 she served as Interim Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church in Denison, Texas, and during 1999-2000 as Interim Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, Texas.  From 1991-1998 she was Pastor at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Dallas.  She has also served as Stated Supply in Celina, Texas, and Chaplain at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas.  From 1980-84 she was a full-time homemaker and before that she taught English at Austin Community College.

Martha holds a baccalaureate degree from The College of Charleston (cum laude), a Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.  She is currently working toward a Doctor of Divinity Degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Martha likes to read, write and garden, but mostly she likes time with friends.  She would like to try sailing; Marquette is the perfect place for that.  In short, she is enamored of life!
