Mackinac Presbytery Looks at Missions

A change happened in our governing body—we saw God at work and we felt the presence of the Holy Spirit anew. How did that happen? Several ministries told their story of how they put their gifts and people to work for their neighbors, giving out of what they had received. Here is one story: Active mission work at Presbytery Point Camp is on-going as youth camps open mid-June. Help finish the new dining hall: paint, stain, install paneling, siding, clean. Bring your tools and lunch. Call 906-869-0925, Angela, to schedule time ASAP to help with God’s mission. May 9-16: Spring opening Work Camp May 31-Open House 1:00 Potluck& Worship to celebrate God’s gifts given through the community of believers. This is how God works and we know it as we experience it. Thank you for your prayers and financial support which all work together for God’s kingdom. Karen Richards, Elder Commissioner Ishpeming; Friends of the Point

Mission Work at Presbytery Point Camp—Building the Kitchen-Dining Hall

One very cold week in February, members of the Marquette, Ishpeming and Trout Creek Churches sent men to install all the insulation in the walls and ceiling of the Kitchen-Dining Hall.  They worked hard and long to complete the job on schedule.  Thank you!

A group from East Jordan is taking a Mission Trip to the Point in March.  The volunteers will be installing interior drywall.  We wish you Godspeed and thank God for you.

Is your church interested in a Mission Trip within the Mackinac Presbytery?  Contact Angela Stone at 906-869-0925 to arrange a date to help complete the building.
